I would just like to apologize to you for all those times I silently (or not so silently) rolled my eyes at Grey's Anatomy.
Because
I am addicted. Like. really addicted.
I can't stop watching it. I caught it on t.v a few times and was pleasantly surprised. So, I got my hands on all the episodes and I can't stop. I have *so* much work to do, and instead of actually being productive I sat here all night and watched episode after episode. Its just so wonderfully delicious. I would be watching it right now if Neill hadn't taken the rest of the episodes and hid them. At the time I asked him to do this, I was thinking it would help be get work done. But, now I'm seriously regretting this. All I want is to find out what happens between Christina and Burke. (AND DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME).
I think I just watched one of the best episodes of the show (so far), when Christina finally comes clean to the Chief about PB's hand. It was. so. good.
Anyways, I know I'm like 5 years late to the Grey's Anatomy fan club, but better late than never, right?

Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my lovelies! I'm currently in Indianapolis at Neill's Uncle's house. Almost all of his family on his mothers side is here and it is one big Jamaican love fest. This morning I had a traditional Jamaican breakfast for the first time (ackee and salt fish, callaloo, johnny cake, fried breadfruit, and plantain fritters). Later there is going to be fried Turkey and a Turducken. I couldn't be happier! I hope you are enjoying yourself and eating yummy food too!

Some kinds of love
I know I was supposed to prepare a fabulous pyrex post, but I lost all motivation when I realized that shipping on these babies would cost a fortune. boo. No wonderful blue pyrex for me.
On a happy note, I'm turning in my big paper today at noon! Yay! I'm so glad to be done with that thing. I've then got class until 3:30 and lab meeting until 5ish and then . . . freedom. Well, technical freedom. I may have to go into loyola on Wednesday just to wrap up some stuff. I'm hoping to be able to take care of it all from home though.
Anyhoo, my classmates and I want to go out to celebrate tonight! I was thinking dollar burgers at Bar Louie, but does anyone else have a better idea? Also, would anyone else be interested in celebrating with us? text for yes!

Pyrex - Another blue obsession
pyrex baking dishes with lids
vintage pyrex casserole dishes
vintage pyrex mixing bowls
omg and they match the baking dishes above. my brain may have just exploded with cuteness and need.
trolling etsy there are a ton of blue pyrex/snowflake themes themed pieces. I have to run out of the house in 10 minutes or else I would keep looking....but this will officially be my project for the weekend. Put together a wish list of pyrex. im giddy just thinking about it!

the perfect blue!
Because I'm a crazy person and slightly obsessed I get out of this world excited when I see my perfect vintage robins egg blue out and about. Unfortunately, I usually see it out and about on-line -- not, out and about in person. But, I have myself to blame for that. I don't expect Loyola to bring in beautiful pieces such as this on a daily basis (or ever really).
Let's all just take a moment to swoon over how amazingly perfect this is.
I'm in love.

Fogo de Chao
Fogo de Chao never disappoints. They have mastered the dynamic combination of classy ambiance, attentive service, and mouthwatering meat. I should say though, it isn't only the meat that is out of this world. I love the mashed potatoes and plantains that get constantly refreshed at your table and the cheeses and what not at the salad bar. The only downside I see to Fogo de Chao is that you can only eat so much. After a while, all the red meat goes to your head so while you want to keep going, you just can't.

the most beautiful
These flowers will be mine. They are too beautiful to not have them - particularly those sweet, delicate white flowers with the yellow center. oh my. I could stare at these pictures for hours. And maybe I have been. So what?

bridesmaid dresses
I can barely get myself dressed in the morning (and I do mean barely). So, I have no idea how I'm supposed to pick out clothes for other people. Particularly other people who happens to include my always stylish and well dressed maid of honor, Grace. But I guess jokes on them, right? Nah. Grace doesn't know this yet, but most likely she will be put in charge of picking out the dresses. Since I'm having such a small bridal party (just Gracie and Cathy), I'm thinking that it would look better if they wore different dresses. Right? I haven't totally made up my mind, but that is the way I'm leaning. I'm also not sure what color I'd like. I've got it narrowing down to blue, yellow, brown, or a light cream/champagne. I could also go pattern if we found something super cute, but we'll see. I was trolling nordstrom.com yesterday and these are two pretty blue dresses I found. I love the color, except it isn't the right color for our wedding (don't worry, I won't bore you with a paragraph on the difference between my dusty robins egg blue and this rich nile blue). Suffice it to say, robins egg blue dresses that have the perfect vintage vibe to them and don't look easter and pastely at all are incredibly difficult to come by. Have you seen any great blue/gray dresses lately?

fears
what's been on my mind lately?
rain.
besides the normal school life whatever worries, i'm starting to get really nervous it is going to rain on our wedding day.
The inside of Volo is very cute and cozy, but we fell in love with the outside courtyard and it would just be a shame to not be able to enjoy that space. Plus, that is where we are planning to get married. I seriously have *no* idea what we will do if it is raining. If the weather is bad there is a tent they can put up that covers the courtyard, but even if people are protected from the rain they won't be protected from the cold/humidity/whatever mother nature decides to curse us with.
There is also the problem of numbers. Everyone just won't be able to fit inside. It is that simple. Eeek.
June is usually a beautiful month, but do you remember last June?!?! Not so beautiful. More cold and rainy. So, I need everyone to start praying now for good weather on June 12th. 7 months of prayers should be enough to keep the sun out, right?

I don't know why everyone is raving about their damn fruit cups as if you go out to brunch to eat a dainty portion of fruit. riiiiight. the main delicious highlights are the larger than life servings, complimentary slivers of coffee cake on the table, strong coffee, and CRUNCHY BUTTERY OMG HASH BROWNS. And you know what?? you get toast AND hash browns AND bacon with your eggs. none of this either or bull shit.
Next time I go, I won't be tempted by the lox and cream cheese scramble and I'll order what I really want - the quiche. a friend at the table got it and boy was that a huge platter of food.
The only downside? Toast has spoiled all brunches for me and I can't help thinking the food just wasn't as good.
